(old school) talkin head

Finally got to the Morgan Library this afternoon, some small but mighty shows, closing soon: Drawing Surrealism (freakin awesome), Degas & Ms. La La (more about that later), Marcel Proust & Swann’s Way (so dense I couldn't understand it all), plus the usual J.P. collection of artifacts. What lingers for me at the moment  is the life mask of George Washington made by the french sculptor, Jeane-Antoine Houdon (pic via my iphone)  With this I add a quote by America's founding forefather, "Perseverance and spirit have done wonders in all ages.”    Prayers go out to Boston.
